Read how ProxyBrowser handles service requests, operational logs, cookies, analytics, advertisements, and support messages.

Last updated: September 13, 2026.

This page explains how information is handled when you use ProxyBrowser at proxybrowser.org, including service requests, operational logs, cookies, analytics, advertising, and contact messages.

Website requests and operational data

The service processes the website addresses you submit so it can request and return the corresponding pages. Network requests also provide information such as your IP address, browser details, and request timing.

Operational logging can include IP addresses, browser information, submitted destinations, redirect addresses, and errors. Website access counts may also be recorded. This information supports service operation, troubleshooting, usage measurement, and abuse prevention. ProxyBrowser does not claim to be a zero-logs service.

Google Analytics

ProxyBrowser uses Google Analytics to measure visits to its own website when analytics is enabled. This can include the page address, page title, browser and device information, and identifiers used to distinguish visits. Website addresses can include query parameters, so information placed in a page URL may be included in measurement.

When analytics for proxied pages is enabled, the service can also count page views through the proxy. The control at the end of this page lets you disable that additional measurement for new proxy sessions started from this browser. It does not disable all website analytics, advertisements, or analytics operated by a destination website.

Google Analytics may use cookies for visitor and session measurement. See Google's cookie documentation and how Google uses information from partner sites for details about Google's processing and available controls.

Cookies and browser storage

The service uses browser storage for preferences and session-related information. For example, a cookie can remember that you have completed the sharing step, and local storage can remember your choice about analytics on proxied pages.

Analytics and advertising providers may set or read their own cookies. Your browser provides controls for cookies and stored site data. Clearing local storage can also clear the proxy analytics preference saved on this device.

Advertising and other service providers

The website may load advertising from Google AdSense and Ad.Plus. These providers may receive request information and use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Opening the Contact interface loads the support service, which processes the messages and contact information you choose to provide.

Infrastructure providers involved in delivering a page can process network requests and operational information. The fact that a service is reached through ProxyBrowser does not make its data processing part of the proxy analytics opt-out control.

Retention

Operational data, analytics records, and support messages are handled by different systems and can have different retention settings. A browsing session ending does not mean that every related record is immediately deleted. This policy does not promise a single automatic deletion period across those systems.

For a question about a specific record or retention practice, use the contact option on the About page. Include the information needed to identify your request; do not include passwords or account credentials.

Third-party websites

Destination websites have their own account systems, cookies, analytics, and privacy policies. A login or browser characteristic can still identify you to a destination. Using the proxy changes the route for supported requests; it does not guarantee anonymity or remove the destination's data collection.

Privacy requests and changes

Use the contact option on the About page for questions about data handling or to make a privacy-related request. Describe the information or interaction concerned so the request can be assessed. Available rights and any required response depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

This page may be updated when service practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.

Controls for Analytics on Proxied Pages

When you browse pages through the proxy, we may count sanitized page views so we can understand how the proxy is used. We do not send query strings, fragments, access tokens, or the page's original title to Google Analytics.

This preference is stored in this browser and applies to new proxy sessions you start from ProxyBrowser.
